Static Holds

One of the objectives I have formulated to focus on during this recent growth opportunity, are static holds. One deeper focus in particular in these holds being to strengthen the left side of my body, which I have noticed in the last few months has not gotten quite as strong as the right has become.Β πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‹This is quite easy to occur when when you practice multiple hours of physical practice daily, are not being, are always mixing things up with your sequences, routines and styles, while not being mindful enough of bad habits which make things more comfortable, especially as the body nears exhaustion. The brain and body, desire to create patterns which make life more comfortable (a given task easier), this is great for energy conservation, but comfort and routine are the enemy of growth and ones personal evolutionπŸ’πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸŽ¨πŸ§™πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈWhen our bodies and brains become uneven and we are not conscious of our actions , behaviors and detrimental habit formation; we may soon find ourselves standing still, moving backwards or worse yet, injured. (The foot wrap has nothing to do with the aforementioned philosophyπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‚) Here I am today and yesterday, on my balcony over a couple study/work breaks, doing various one arm, one leg, and arm-leg holds with a focus on strengthening the left arm & leg, and balance all while consciously sending prana to my left appendages and bandha’s. So grateful for this tremendous opportunity and this recent lesson!!πŸ˜πŸ“ΏπŸ•ŠπŸ•‰
